Plastech has recently begun shipping an extremely complex plastic part that will be used in a medical application as a vacuum relief valve.
The vacuum relief valve is manufactured out of black Delrin, and involves several processes that in house at PlasTech including
- CNC Plastic machining using Hurco 5 axis CNC machines
- Component assembly
- Engraving
The vacuum relief valve is manufactured to a high tolerance – 0.0005” – PlasTech is the only company the medical device manufacturer could find who was able to produce the part to a satisfactory level.
